Allison has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 Telstra Business Women's Awards, with the winner being announced on 14 November 2008.
Allison has a reputation as a pioneer, and is acknowledged as a leading
expert in the field of electronic litigation. Her proven track record of
delivering best practice solutions for Courtroom technology, and case
preparation management systems, stems from her background as a practising
litigation lawyer, and through her work as Registrar of the Court of Appeal
(Qld).
In March 1999, <e.law> Australia was launched by Allison and her business
partner, Bruce Grant, as an independent legal/IT Consulting organisation.
Following the successful implementation of numerous legal IT projects, and
the project management many high profile, Royal Commissions, including the
Oil for Food Inquiry and the HIH Royal Commission, <e.law> has established
its credentials as a blue ribbon service provider to the legal industry
across Australia.
Allison holds Bachelor (Hons) and Masters degrees from QUT, where she
lectures in "Electronic Litigation". Allison also lectures at University of
Melbourne's Law School, Postgraduate Studies.
In 2003, Thomson Legal published Allison’s first-of-its-kind text
“E-Litigation”. Allison also publishes widely in recognised legal journals
and speaks regularly at legal conferences.
